The war between the Armenian SSR and the Azerbaijan SSR is the first crack in the body of the Soviet Empire. A war in which it is challenging to determine who is right and who is wrong. A war where everyone is a victim. It was the first war in the modern history of the USSR, in the last moments of its existence. A war that resembles all the subsequent ones, with no end in sight. The film crew spent several months at a checkpoint where the Soviet army was split between the warring nations.
